Paying another Binance user: Binance Pay, internal transfer or an on-chain withdrawal?
When the person you are paying also uses Binance, you can send stablecoins in several ways. How Binance Pay, internal transfers and ordinary network withdrawals differ in cost, speed and the details you must check before sending.

A friend asks you to send some USDT and says they are on Binance too. You open the app and see several possible routes: Send through Binance Pay, a withdrawal where the address happens to belong to another Binance account, or a regular on-chain withdrawal on a chosen network. All of them can get the money there, but they differ in fees, speed and what can go wrong. Picking the right one is mostly about which identifier the other person gives you and how sure you are that it belongs to them.
Binance Pay: by Pay ID, email or phone
In the app, Binance Pay usually sits under the Pay or Send option on the home screen or in the wallet. You enter the recipient's Pay ID, email or phone number, choose the coin and amount, and confirm with your security factors. Transfers between Binance users this way are typically instant and do not travel on a blockchain, so you do not choose a network. Before confirming, check the recipient's nickname shown on the screen against what your friend told you, because a single wrong digit sends money to someone else.
Withdrawing to another Binance address
If your friend gives you a deposit address instead, the withdrawal screen asks you to pick a network. When the address belongs to another Binance account, Binance may process it internally, often labelled as an internal transfer, which can mean no network fee and faster crediting. The withdrawal screen shows the fee and expected amount before you confirm; read it rather than assuming. Make sure the network you pick matches the one your friend selected when copying their deposit address, as addresses can look alike across chains.
A regular on-chain withdrawal
If the recipient uses a wallet outside Binance or prefers an on-chain record, a normal network withdrawal is the right choice. Here the network matters completely: the recipient's wallet must support the same network for that stablecoin. The fee depends on the network and is displayed on the withdrawal screen and on the deposit and withdrawal section of the Binance fee page. Add the address to your address book after confirming it with a small test transfer, so future payments reuse a verified entry.
Choosing between them
For quick payments between Binance users you trust, Binance Pay is usually the simplest, provided you confirm the nickname. For payments where the recipient wants funds in a specific network wallet, or for record-keeping that needs a transaction hash, use a withdrawal and match the network carefully. Whatever route you pick, never send because of a message alone; confirm the details by a call or in person, since compromised chat accounts asking for urgent transfers are common.

Scenario checkpoint
- Confirm the recipient's Pay ID, email or phone and check the nickname on the Binance Pay screen.
- Match the withdrawal network with the one the recipient used when copying their deposit address.
- Read the fee and amount to be received on the withdrawal screen before confirming any send.
- Verify payment details by call or in person, not only through a chat message.
